Connecting to

Jetpack allows you 3 ways to connect your website to their tools.

  1. account
  2. Connect using google
  3. Create New Account

For this example we will be using Create New Account to setup the connect between the website and


Step 1: Fill in the

  1. Email Address
  2. User Name
  3. Password

Then click Create your account to complete this step of the process.

Step 2: Approve the connect

click the approve button

Step 3: Click Skip

This page asks you about what type of website you are building.

You don’t need to fill this in right away.

I suggest clicking skip. 

Step 4: Click Skip Again

This page asks you to enter a keyword to describe your website.

You don’t need to fill this in right away.

I suggest clicking skip. 

Step 5: Select Free

When asked to choose a plan select the free option below the three paid options.

You should now be connected.

Latest Post is a way to share the latest post information on a single page by using an aggregator to retrieve the post information

  1. Featured Image
  2. Post Title
  3. Post excerpt
  4. Link to
In the Dashboard  menu
  1. Select Page
  2. Select Add New
  3. Add page title
  4. Category for the page
    1.  Enter Aggregator as the category
  5. Select either Save Draft or Publish
  6. Click Edit with Elementor
In the Elementor search field type Genesis Featured Posts
  1. Select Genesis Featured Posts Widget and drag it over
While in Edit with Elementor
  1. Select Content
  2. Title
  3. Set Category to Posts
  4. Set Number of Posts to 6
  5. Set Order By to Date
  6. Set Sort Order to Descending
  7.  Click Show featured image
  8. Set Image Size to Thumbnail
  9. Click on UPDATE
While still in the Edit with Elementor Content section
  1. Image Alignment set to Left
  2. Click Show post title
  3. Click Show Category Archive Link
  4. Click UPDATE
While in Edit with Elementor
  1. Select Advanced
  2. In the Custom CSS area add the following code

margin-right: 12px;

Click on UPDATE

WordPress begins as a CMS and then adds in the sitebuilder features by incorporating  plugin such as Elementor, Beaver builder, Page Builder and through the use if it’s modular based design WordPress extend it’s workflow to match the necessity of the website owner and the people that enjoy using the website.
