We have some incredible news to share with our Lakekit community. Our very own Larry Bresina received the prestigious Wisconsin Lake Stewardship “Special Lifetime” Award!
The award recognizes Larry’s tireless work with the Pipe and North Pipe Lakes P&R District, as well as his visionary role in founding Lakekit. Larry was recognized on Thursday night April 16, at the Wisconsin Lakes and Rivers Convention Banquet with all of his Lakekit volunteer team and his family on hand to cheer him on!
As the award committee noted, Larry’s contributions go far “above and beyond.” By creating Lakekit, he didn’t just help one lake; he built a platform that helps organizations across the entire state of Wisconsin grow their digital presence and protect our waters.
In their announcement, Wisconsin Lakes and the UW-Stevens Point Extension shared: “Larry has been helping organizations across Wisconsin build their organizational capacity through Lakekit and we want to be sure he is celebrated for his work.”
