The media library contains the various files that have been uploaded to a WordPress site for use as site content. These files may be images that can be displayed on a webpage or other files such as text that can be linked to in a webpage.
- Add to the Library
Files can be uploaded from a local computer for future use or uploaded while editing a page. To upload a file use Dashboard -> Media -> Add New. Click on “Select Files” to access a file in the local computer. Highlight a file and “Open” to upload the file. - Add a link to a text file using the Elementor text editor widget
While in the edit mode, place the cursor in the Elementor editing panel on the left side of the screen where the file link should be. Next click on “Add Media” above the edit icon rows. Select the “Upload” or “Media” tab and maneuver to the file, highlight the file, and open it. Enter text the title box that will become the link text. Select “Insert into post”.
Always UPDATE the edits, use the hamburger icon top left to exit to the Dashboard. - Add a link to an image using the Elementor text editor widget

Select the “Upload” or “Media” tab and maneuver to the image file. Highlight the image. Select the “Attachment Display Settings” as desired. Select “Insert into post”.

Select “Choose Your Image” button to access the Media Library to obtain an image.
